Here. Let me give you a little help.

See the big old ad on the bottom? Does it strike you as, well, out of place? Odd? Like something's not right about it being there?
It does me. Apparently, the RS has run ads on the front page of sections before. It seems I remember a time when they were running ads on the front-front, A-1, but I guess that's stopped. At least for the moment. (Remember when the phone book used to have just a nice pretty picture on the front, and no ads for lawyers or plumbers or Doc Gristle's House o' Meat?)
I submit this to you, ladies and gentlemen, as a symptom of the cancer that is eating our local paper, slowly, surely, bit by bit. This is corporate America in some far-flung office telling the editors and managers of our local paper to Make More Money, Damn It! Even if it means running ads on the fronts of sections. You know, the place where news used to go.
How long will it be before the entire paper is advertisements, and the news is an insert?

To answer your last question, I have it on good authority that it's gonna happen in 3 1/2 weeks. It's called "reverse publishing". The ads will "wrap" the news content.
The weird part of this "reverse publishing" thing that's going to take some getting used to is when they actually start charging the story subjects and give the ads away to local businesses for free.
It's all the rage in Denmark!
